Dave McDermond

When Dave McDermond – often called McD – took a temp position at a printer in 1989, he was looking for a good job with benefits. It quickly became a career as he helped launch the company’s mailing operations and moved into management. These days, he oversees “essentially everything that happens after ink hits paper” at SeaChange including cutting, folding, and converting.

While Dave’s experience is deep, it’s his focus on people that stands out even more. Dave loves seeing people grow and figuring out how to solve challenges together. He thanks a job he had at age 18 for teaching him a lot about hard work and showing him “people are beautiful.” That job, a surprise for a kid who had left Brainerd for the big city of Houston, TX, was selling pots and pans out of his pickup truck.
