Lee Stevens

Principal Sales Engineer at Seagull Scientific

Lee Stevens has nearly 30 years of work experience in various sales engineering and product management roles. Lee started their career in 1988 as a Sr. Proposal Administrator at GTE Telecom Marketing, where they achieved a high success rate in responding to RFPs. Lee then moved on to GTE Telephone Operations, where they provided technical support for data CPE and data-related services. In 1996, they transitioned to GTE Network Services as a Staff Sales Engineer, responsible for designing and installing LANs, WANs, VPNs, and Video Conference Systems.

In 1998, Lee joined Fujitsu Network Communications as a Sr. Product Support Engineer, providing field engineering support and training for the ADSL product line. Lee later became a Sr. Product Manager, overseeing a customer worth over $100 million and managing the company's ADSL interoperability efforts.

In 2000, Lee joined NET.com as a Sr. Systems Engineer, where they provided sales engineering support, including network design, installation, and customer testing. Lee then moved on to Aktino, Inc. in 2007, where they continued to provide sales engineering support and training for various telecommunications companies.

Lee joined Positron Access Solutions in 2010 as a Sr. Sales Engineer, supporting group sales VPs and regional Account Executives. Lee then joined Intraway Corp. in 2014 as a Sr. Sales Engineer, specializing in the Telco/MSO market and helping identify customer issues, problems, goals, and visions.

Currently, Lee is working at Seagull Scientific since 2018 as a Principal Sales Engineer, responsible for leading pre-sales technical efforts with customers and developing project strategies for successful solution implementations.

Lee Stevens earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from William Jewell College between 1977 and 1981. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Business from Colorado State University, completing it between 2003 and 2005. In addition to these formal degrees, Lee also obtained a certification in "Negotiating Your Salary" from LinkedIn in 2018.
