Kate Weinberg

Kate Weinberg is a seasoned professional in sustainability and public affairs, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Seahorse Environmental since February 2023, where strategic and operational support is provided for campaigns advocating a net zero and nature positive world. As a Trustee of THE OVO CHARITABLE FOUNDATION since January 2020, Kate contributes to addressing critical social issues such as youth homelessness and educational inequality. Previously, as Group Sustainability Director at OVO Energy, responsibilities included establishing the company's sustainability strategy, Plan Zero. Kate's extensive background also includes experience as Principal Consultant at Irbaris LLP, where sustainability advisory services were delivered, and as Executive Officer of the Legal Response Initiative, focused on providing legal support for climate change negotiations. Kate started as an Associate in the Environmental Law Unit at Slaughter and May. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, a LPC and PgDL from BPP Law School, and a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
