Dixie Hutchinson

Dixie Hutchinson serves as Communications Director for the Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska since March 2024. Prior to this role, Dixie has been with Sealaska since May 2008, initially as Communications Manager and previously as Assistant Director of Corporate Communications, where efforts focused on advancing the stories of Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian cultures and strengthening the community's homelands. Earlier experience includes serving as News Director for KNBA at Koahnic Broadcast Corporation from August 2001 to May 2008, where the commitment was to amplify Native voices in Alaska and across the nation.
