Tesla Cox began their work experience in 2013 as an intern in corporate communications at Goldbelt, Incorporated. Tesla later worked as a Corporate Communications & Shareholder Services Assistant and a Shareholder Relations & Communications Specialist at the same company. In 2015, they joined Tlingit Haida Regional Housing Authority as a Public Relations - Community Outreach Coordinator, where they developed relationships with tribal leaders and built partnerships with other Alaska Native organizations. In 2017, they returned to Goldbelt, Incorporated, this time as the Director of Shareholder Services. During this role, they managed the Shareholder Services department and successfully launched the company's first online voting system. Finally, in 2020, Tesla joined Sealaska as the Shareholder Development Program Manager before being promoted to the position of Senior Director of Shareholder Development in 2022.
Tesla Cox received a Bachelor's degree in Advertising from Northern Arizona University. Tesla attended the university from 2009 to 2013.
