Manuel DaSilva, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. From 2019 to 2021, they held the position of Product Technology Manager NA at Sealed Air Corporation, where they were responsible for the qualification of alternate resins and raw materials, as well as product line extensions. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2019, they worked as Corporate Quality at the same company, focusing on project management excellence and improving product quality. From 2015 to 2017, they served as Lead Supplier Quality Engineer at GE Renewable Energy, where they oversaw supplier qualifications and quality for mechanical components used in wind turbines. Before that, from 2013 to 2015, they held the same position at GE Power, with a focus on ceramic components and raw materials. And from 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Process Control Engineer II at CoorsTek, where they developed reflective ceramic substrates for the LED industry. Earlier in their career, from 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Product Development Engineer at Morgan Ceramics, managing the development of a medical device.

Manuel DaSilva, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Materials Engineering from Purdue University. Manuel also completed a Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management from the Penn State Smeal MBA Program between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering from Rutgers University, which they completed from 1998 to 2003.
