Brandon Whalen

Brandon Whalen has held a variety of positions in the technology industry since 2001. From 2001 to 2003, they were a Software Engineering Intern at the Army Research Laboratory, where they worked on a large sensor simulation project. Brandon then worked as a Software Engineer at ITServ from 2003 to 2004, where they helped develop a Linux-based firewall solution. From 2004 to 2013, they were a Lead Systems Security Analyst at Tresys Technology, assisting government and private industry clients in creating security solutions. In 2013, they founded and became the COO of Quark Security, where they contributed to the technical roadmap, created a staffing plan, did sales work, wrote and reviewed proposals, and did technical work on multiple platforms. Finally, in 2019, they became the Director and COO of Sealing Technologies, Inc.

Brandon Whalen obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland between 1998 and 2002. Brandon then went on to Towson University where they earned their M.S. in Computer Science with a focus in Computer Security between 2003 and 2008.
