Sami Arabi

Sami Arabi has worked in the field of data science and engineering for the past four years. In 2021, they began working as a Data Scientist/Data Engineer at Mobile Tech People, where they were responsible for setting up a Big Data infrastructure for batch and streaming weather data ingestion, transformation, and storage. Sami also configured a Kafka data broker for real-time weather sensor data ingestion and implemented data pipelines with Spark for real-time and historical weather data formatting and cleaning. In 2022, they moved to Sealk as a Big Data Engineer, where they designed and implemented a Big Data architecture under GCP for web page scraping. Sami also configured a data broker for URL scraping and implemented a web page scrapper under Flask and Python. In 2020, they returned to Mobile Tech People as a Data Scientist, where they designed deep learning models for temporal and spatio-temporal weather prediction. Sami also implemented Python tools and frameworks for temporal data analysis and visualization from various sources. In 2020, they also began working at AXA as a Data Scientist, where they were responsible for A/B testing for new business rate optimization. Sami constructed an interactive dashboard to compare production rate model performance indicators in A/B testing, segmented prospects profiles, and aided in the interpretation of results. In 2017, they began working at CETIC Spa (Officielle) as a Web Developer, where they implemented a portal for employees to place various administrative requests (leave, absences, attestations, etc.).

Sami Arabi's education history includes a Master in Machine Learning for Data Science from Université Paris Cité from 2019 to 2021, a Licence in Informatique from Université des Sciences et de la Technologie 'Houari Boumediène' from 2015 to 2019, and a Baccalauréat in Scientifique from Lycée Frantz Fanon from 2012 to 2015.
