Alex Carp

Alex Carp is currently the head of engineering at Seaplane IO. Alex has previously held positions as the head of infrastructure at Ethos Life and as a contract CTO at Wrethink, Inc. Alex has also worked as a software engineer at Dropbox, where they were a key player in major technical projects that encompassed Edgestore, Project Infinite, and Dropbox Smart Sync. The Dropbox Smart Sync was a true technological step forward for the company and promoted the adjustment of the IPO schedule. Alex also led the built the first prototype of a fully geographically distributed datastore while leading the centralization of all databases into a single cross-metro scalable database.

Alex Carp attended Colegiul National Mircea cel Batran in Constanta for their high school education. Alex then went on to study computer science at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, earning a master's degree in the field.
