Chan Phung is an accomplished executive in the film industry with extensive experience in acquisitions and production. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Production at Searchlight Pictures since November 2019, Chan previously held the position of Director of Original Independent Film at Netflix from June 2017 to October 2019. Prior roles include Vice President of Acquisitions for Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions at Sony Pictures Entertainment from December 2012 to June 2017, and Director of Acquisitions for Focus Features and Universal Pictures from March 2005 to December 2012. Additionally, Chan began a career in the industry as an Assistant to Motion Picture Talent Agent at William Morris from September 2002 to August 2004.
