Jeff Pike has been working in the software engineering field since 1990. Jeff began their career as a Software Engineer at the National Security Agency in 1990. In 1993, they moved to the Westinghouse Electric Company, where they were a Software Engineer and performed safety-critical software requirement specification, design, and implementation. In 1998, they became a Research Assistant at UPMC and a Software Engineer at Carnegie Mellon University, where they developed a taxonomy for classifying computer security intrusions, a data warehouse framework to support analysis of computer security incidents, and data mining algorithms to facilitate intrusion detection and incident correlation. In 1999, they worked as a Software Engineer at Schwoo, Inc., where they developed a database for storage and analysis of transactions and computer security-related incidents, and a framework for distributed agent architecture for monitoring, detecting, and responding to computer security intrusions. In 2000, they joined Vocollect as a Software Engineer. In 2016, they became a Principal Software Engineer at ZOLL LifeVest, and in 2017, they moved to Honeywell Safety & Productivity Solutions in the same role. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Seasoned as a Senior Software Engineer.

Jeff Pike completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University between 1988 and 1992. Jeff then went on to obtain a Master of Applied Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh between 1996 and 1999. In March 2015, they earned a Six Sigma Green Belt from Honeywell. In October 2013, they earned Basic First Aid - Adult and CPR for the Professional Rescuer certifications from the American Safety & Health Institute. In May 2015, they earned a Bloodborne Pathogens certification from the American Safety & Health Institute. In March 2019, they earned a Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification from (ISC)². Finally, in 2019, they earned a Machine Learning Certificate from Cornell University.
