Tim Bouwer

Tim Bouwer has over 30 years of experience in the tech industry. Tim began their career in 1989 as a Systems Programmer at Rhodes University. In 1997, they moved on to DSG/SAC Schools as a Network Manager, where they designed and managed the implementation of a fibre optic network. In 2001, they held two positions simultaneously as a Sr. Systems Administrator at Oculus Technologies and a Sr. Network Engineer at PFN Technologies. From 2005-2007, they worked at LineSider Communications as Director of Technical Services, and from 2007-2013, they were an Engineering Manager and VP of Product Management at Cisco. Most recently, they have been a Solutions Architect at Sea Street Technologies since 2013, where they are responsible for the introduction of new resource managers and defining the infrastructure for multi-vendor cloud and network offerings.

Tim Bouwer attended the University of Cape Town from 1979 to 1984, where they earned a B.Sc in Geography and Psychology. Tim then went on to receive a Higher Diploma in Education from the same university in 1984. Finally, they completed their B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science from Rhodes University in 1989.
