Riley Pollom serves as the Species Recovery Program Manager at the Seattle Aquarium since August 2022, following a tenure as the Global Marine Conservation Coordinator at the Indianapolis Zoo from February 2021 to July 2022. Prior roles include Regional Coordinator for Key Biodiversity Areas with Wildlife Conservation Society Canada, Resource Management Officer for Parks Canada, Programme Officer with the IUCN SSC Shark Specialist Group, and Syngnathid Research Biologist at Project Seahorse. Riley's early experience includes positions as a Fisheries Technologist and Independent Consultant for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Sustainability Coordinator for the Graduate Students' Union at Memorial University, and coordinator for the Memorial University Campus Food Strategy Group. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Biology from Memorial University and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Geography from the University of Calgary.
