Dwight Barry is a Principal Data Scientist at Seattle Children's since January 2015, focusing on creating advanced analytics data products while providing training and mentorship in data science and business intelligence. Prior to this role, Dwight served as a Data Scientist in Business Intelligence Services at Group Health Cooperative from January 2012 to January 2015, contributing expertise in predictive analytics for enterprise-wide projects. As Director of the NASA Lab and Center of Excellence for Applied Sciences at Peninsula College from June 2004 to December 2011, Dwight coordinated studies on dam removal, fisheries restoration, and climate change. Dwight also held the position of Assistant Director at the University of North Texas from 2001 to 2004, overseeing land management projects and teaching in biology and environmental science. Earlier experience includes working as an Environmental Consultant from 1999 to 2001. Dwight holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of North Texas, an MFS in Forest Science/Hydrology from Yale University, and a BA in Philosophy/Natural Resources from Texas A&M University.
