Lailani Cruz-Alvarez

Lailani Cruz-Alvarez is a Clinical Research Project Manager at the Seattle Institute for Biomedical and Clinical Research since August 2022, also having served as a Clinical Research Assistant. Prior experience includes roles as a Server at Carolina Coffee Shop, Co-Director and Publicity Coordinator for Xcel: Advising for Minorities in STEM, and Community Outreach and Visual Content Creator at The Bridge, focusing on issues surrounding black and brown womxn. Lailani has a background in research as a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and as a Photographer for YACKETY YACK PUBLISHING INC. Previous clerical experience was gained as an Office Assistant at the UNC-CH Office of Diversity & Inclusion. Lailani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an Associate of Science in Biology from Lenoir Community College, along with a high school diploma from Greene County Early College High School.
