Daniel Keene

Daniel Keene is a seasoned academic and professional in mechanical engineering, currently serving as the Mechanical Engineering Department Chair and Associate Professor at Seattle Pacific University since September 2013, where responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses and advising students. Prior to this role, Daniel gained research experience at the University of Minnesota Solar Energy Laboratory, focusing on mathematical models for heat and mass transfer processes, and worked as a teaching assistant in various mechanical engineering courses at the University of Minnesota's Mechanical Engineering Department. Earlier research experience includes conducting experiments on thermal convection in porous media at the University of Minnesota Heat Transfer Laboratory. Daniel began his career as an engineering intern at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. Daniel holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
