Jessica L Lucas is an experienced librarian currently serving at The Seattle Public Library since September 2006. With a background in youth services, Jessica was a board member for the Children and Young Adult Services group within the Washington Library Association from April 2014 to April 2016, where responsibilities included managing the Visionary Award and organizing workshops. Previous roles include mentoring incarcerated youth at the Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration, volunteering at the University District Youth Center for homeless youth, and serving in various positions focused on technology and outreach. Jessica holds a Master of Library and Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of Washington.
