Carey (Crutcher) Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education, community relations, and marketing. Currently serving as an Affiliate Instructor at the University of Washington and a Sports Commissioner for the Seattle Sports Commission, Carey advocates for Seattle's prominence in the sports industry while teaching business communications to college students. As a Trustee and Immediate Past Board Chair at Lakeside School, Carey spearheaded the search for a new Head of School and enhanced governance practices. Additional roles include Lead Partner at EarthGen, where strategic support was provided for rebranding efforts, and Director of Community Relations and Marketing at Lease Crutcher Lewis, overseeing significant community initiatives and successful marketing campaigns. Carey's earlier career includes a progression at Verizon Wireless, culminating in the role of VP Regional Marketing. Educational credentials include an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor's Degree from Princeton University.
