Michael Rude has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of quality engineering and management. Michael began their career in 1993 as a Materials Lab/Metrology Department Manager at Tomco Plastics. In 1998, they moved to Lear Corporation as a Senior Resident Liaison Product Quality Engineer. From 2000 to 2003, they were Quality Manager and Plant Manager at Plastech. In 2003, they joined Citation Corporation as a Senior Program Quality Engineer. From 2004 to 2009, they worked at Metavation LLC (formerly Eagle Picher - Hillsdale Automotive LLC) as a Corporate Global Supplier Quality & Development Engineer, and a TS 16949 Lead & Supplier Auditor. From 2009 to 2010, they were President of Operations/Quality Systems Management at Alliance Resource Mfg. LLC. From 2010 to 2012, they were Quality Manager, Interim Paint Line Manager, CI and Lean Six-Sigma Black-Belt at Decorative Paint Inc. From 2012 to 2016, they were Quality Assurance Manager at GB Manufacturing. Since 2016, they have been the Senior Lead Quality Engineer (Metrology Specialist) at Seaway Plastics Engineering, leading the metrology teams in Brooksville and Port Richey and supporting quote, launch, development and ongoing production.

Michael Rude has a varied educational background. Michael began their studies in 1979, earning a diploma from Dekalb in the fields of communication, math and drafting. Michael then attended ITT Technical Institute from 1982 to 1983, studying tool and die design and engineering, although they did not receive a degree. In 1989, Michael earned a certification in mechanical engineering and tool making from Northwest State Community College, which they completed in 1993. Finally, Michael obtained two certificates from Villanova University in 2008 and 2009, both in Lean Six Sigma Master Blackbelt and Lean Six Sigma Master Blackbelt-Green Belt.
