Ajay Sutaria

Ajay Sutaria is currently the Counsel to the Director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Trading & Markets, where they provide legal, policy, and procedural advice. Previously, Ajay served as Counsel in the Litigation Section at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission from 2011 to 2016 and held associate positions at prestigious law firms, including Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Jenner & Block. Ajay also gained valuable experience as a law clerk for the Honorable Jeffrey Howard at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. They earned an A.B. from Columbia University and a law degree from Harvard Law School, both completed in 2003.
