Paul Hood

Paul Hood has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and threat intelligence. Paul is currently working as a Senior Threat Intelligence Consultant at SecAlliance since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst at Nettitude Group from March 2018 to August 2021. Before that, they worked as a Senior Cyber Analyst at Team Cymru from December 2017 to January 2018.

Paul also has experience in the academic sector, having worked at the University of Oxford. Paul held the position of Head of Security Operations (acting) from July 2016 to June 2017. Prior to this role, they served as the Cyber Security Operations Lead (DFIR) from January 2014 to July 2016.

In addition to their cybersecurity roles, Paul has also gained experience in IT and networking consultancy. Paul worked as an IT/Networks Consultant at UK LANGUAGE CENTRES LTD from September 2011 to January 2014.

Before transitioning into the cybersecurity field, Paul worked as a Language Instructor at NOVA Japan from June 2007 to September 2011. Paul also briefly worked as a Radiography Administrator at SafeRad Ltd from December 2006 to May 2007.

Paul Hood pursued their education from 2002 to 2006 at the University of Kent, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) (Hons) degree in Physics. In addition to their academic qualifications, Paul also obtained the CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM) certification in September 2021 from CREST.
