Xiaoyang Y.

Xiaoyang Y. has a strong background in data science and AI. Xiaoyang is currently working at Second Dinner as the Vice President of AI, Data, Security, IT. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Director of Data and Security at Second Dinner. Xiaoyang also has experience in academia, serving as a Guest Lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Before joining Second Dinner, Xiaoyang worked at Riot Games, where they held various positions including Head of Data and AI, Senior Manager of Data Science and Data Engineering, and Manager of Data Science. Earlier in their career, they worked at Blizzard Entertainment as a Senior Data Scientist, where they developed simulation systems, built machine learning risk systems, and created predictive models for player engagement and monetization. Additionally, Xiaoyang held the role of President at the Advanced Degree Consulting Club at UCLA, where they expanded the organization and initiated collaborations.

Xiaoyang's early experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Associate at UCLA, as well as a Data Scientist Intern at Blizzard Entertainment. Xiaoyang also worked as a Lead User Researcher at iCareer and as a Research Assistant/Software Engineer at the National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale.

Xiaoyang Y. holds a Ph.D. in Computational Vision (minor in Computer Vision) from UCLA, along with an M.S. in Statistics (Machine Learning track) and an M.A. in Psychology, both also from UCLA. Their undergraduate degree, a B.S., is in Theoretical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China. Prior to university, Xiaoyang Y. obtained a High School Diploma from NO.1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University. They have also acquired additional certifications, including being an ICAgile Certified Professional from The International Consortium for Agile and completing Tableau Advanced Training from Tableau Software in 2015.
