Anne Oikarinen

Anne Oikarinen has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Anne began their career in 2009 as a Network Security Specialist at Insta DefSec Oy, where they were involved in software development and testing of a VPN system. Their responsibilities included test management, software design and development, customer support, and vulnerability testing. Anne also worked as a Software Development Trainee and Thesis Worker during this time.

In 2015, Anne joined Viestintävirasto (Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority) / NCSC-FI as an Information Security Specialist. In this role, they served as an Incident Response Duty Officer, monitoring information security incidents and threats, conducting vulnerability assessments, and participating in the coordination center.

Anne then moved on to Nixu Corporation in 2016, where they took on multiple roles. As a Senior Security Consultant, they conducted threat modeling of applications and complex systems, performed security testing of web and mobile applications, platforms, and network equipment, and worked as a principal consultant coordinating project work. Anne also served as a Senior Security Consultant and Content Creator, responsible for creating technical content about cybersecurity for Nixu's web pages and social media.

From 2021 to 2023, Anne worked at Futurice as an Information Security Manager, overseeing the organization's information security activities.

Starting in February 2023, Anne will be joining 2NS - Second Nature Security Oy as a Senior Security Consultant.

Anne Oikarinen completed their education at Tampere University of Technology from 2005 to 2011, earning a Master of Science (Technology) degree in Communication Networks and Protocols. Additionally, they obtained certifications including "Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)" from (ISC)² in May 2014 and "Building an ISO 27001-Compliant Cybersecurity Program: The Annex A Controls" from LinkedIn in July 2022. In April 2023, they acquired the "ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer" certification from PECB. Moreover, they completed the certification course, "Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities" offered by LinkedIn in July 2022.
