Kimberly Godsey

Kimberly Godsey is currently serving as the VP of Legal and Compliance and Deputy General Counsel at Second Nature. With over 10 years of experience, they provide legal and compliance advice to company leadership. Kimberly'sexpertise includes contract management, legal research, acquisitions, corporate transactions, dispute resolution, and litigation. Kimberly excels in establishing policies and procedures, fostering collaboration and stakeholder buy-in, and driving strategic growth initiatives. Kimberly possesses comprehensive knowledge of utility regulations, contract drafting and negotiations, and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Second Nature, Kimberly worked as the General Counsel at Minol USA and Zenner USA from 2011 to 2022. Kimberly was responsible for overseeing legal matters and played a crucial role in the conceptual development and growth of the organization.

Before that, Kimberly served as the Operations, Regulatory and Compliance Manager at Texas Power from 2007 to 2011. Kimberly'sresponsibilities included project planning, coordination, and budgeting. Kimberly also handled legal issues related to PUC regulation, statutory law, litigation, and contractual formation and obligations.

At the start of their career, Kimberly worked at Citi as an Instructional Design & Sales Trainer. Kimberly was responsible for conducting analysis to develop curriculum and implementing training strategies for performance improvement within the organization. Kimberly also managed relationships, developed training programs, and provided coaching for performance improvement.

Kimberly Godsey obtained their Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M University School of Law, specializing in Law, from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at Dallas Baptist University in 2005.
