Phillip Marks

Phillip Marks is an experienced electrical engineer with a background in aerospace, automotive, video production, and consumer electronics. Phillip has worked for Second Order Effects, Inc. since 2018, where they currently serve as the Site Director of the Seattle office and is responsible for engineering and business development activities in the Pacific Northwest region. Phillip previously served as the Engineering Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, and Electrical Engineer for the company. Prior to that, they worked for Apple from 2015 to 2018 as a Prototype Engineer and Electrical Engineer in the Platform Architecture and Special Projects Groups. Phillip began their career in 2009 as an Electrical Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they developed hardware, software, and VHDL RTL for airborne and space-borne scientific instruments.

Phillip Marks attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Phillip then returned to the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2009 to earn a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
