Lisa Lawer Post

Lisa Lawer Post serves as the Interim Executive Director at Second Stage Theatre since February 2023 and has been a Senior Consultant and Chief Operating Officer at New 42 since September 1996. As COO, Lisa oversees artistic and educational programs, operations, budgeting, human resources, and strategic planning for the New Victory Theater and New 42 Studios, both recognized for their contributions to the performing arts and education in New York City. Previous roles include Director of Corporate Communications and Director of Projects & Planning at Conde Nast Publications from 1992 to 1996, where Lisa managed communications for renowned magazine brands. Earlier experience includes serving as Executive Director and Board Officer at The Joyce Theater Foundation from 1983 to 1991, where Lisa contributed significantly to the theater’s early development and operational framework. Lisa holds a BA in English and Dance from Kirkland College.
