Severa Cox

Severa Cox has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They started their career as a Shift Lead at Cold Stone Creamery in 2014 and then transitioned to Chipotle Mexican Grill, where they held multiple positions including Crew Member, Service Manager, and eventually General Manager from 2015 to 2020.

In 2020, Severa joined SecondSight as a Software Engineer, working in that role until 2021, when they were promoted to Software Engineer II. Alongside their work at SecondSight, Severa also worked at Eleven Fifty Academy, starting as a Learning Assistant in 2020, then becoming an Instructor Trainee in 2021, and finally an Instructor from 2021 to 2022.

Throughout their career, Severa has demonstrated their adaptability and continuous learning, transitioning from the food industry to the tech industry and gaining teaching experience in the process.

Severa Cox has a diverse education history. In 2017, they enrolled in Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where they pursued a major in Psychology and Economics. Their studies in these fields lasted until 2021.

In 2020, Severa briefly attended Eleven Fifty Academy for Software Development. Although they did not complete a degree, they participated in various programs and obtained certifications related to software development. These certifications include the Eleven Fifty Academy Graduate, Software Development Blue Badge, Software Development Gold Badge, and HTML and CSS Foundations.

Additionally, Severa has obtained certifications in the restaurant industry, such as the ServSafe Alcohol Certification, ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, and ServSafe Proctor. The institutions responsible for these certifications are the National Restaurant Association.
