Diogo Martins Umbelino

Diogo Martins Umbelino is an accomplished technical project manager with extensive experience in advanced research, development, and innovation within the engineering sector. Currently serving as Advanced R&D - Technical Sr. Project Manager at Secop since October 2021, Diogo oversees global initiatives in product development from concept to mass production. Previous roles include Research, Development and Innovation Manager at BOLD, where responsibilities involved structuring and managing RD&I efforts, and Project Manager at Nidec Global Appliance, focusing on complex project development and market alignment. Diogo began a career in R&D at Embraco, progressing from Trainee to Product Specialist, leading new product development in refrigeration systems. Diogo holds an MBA in Project Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and a degree in Materials Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, complemented by international studies in Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering.
