Angus Walker is an Associate Director in the Damages and Forensic Investigations team for Secretariat in London. Mr. Walker specializes in damages quantification and business valuation in the context of commercial and investment disputes.

Mr. Walker has over eight years’ experience in accounting and financial consulting having qualified as a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland and previously spent five years with a big four accounting firm.

As a forensic accountant, Mr. Walker has been involved in advising through all aspects of the litigation process from pre-action valuation, through to hearings and has also assisted clients in mediation.

These disputes have covered a broad range of topics including breach of Share Purchase Agreement warranties and assessment of damages, loss of profits (including assessment of effective mitigation), reasonableness of liquidated damages and assessment of cartel arrangements. Mr. Walker has broad industry experience including construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, insurance, waste management, banking and finance, hospitality, renewable energy and telecommunications.

Prior to joining Secretariat, Mr. Walker worked at a big four accounting firm predominantly in the financial services sector with hedge funds, private equity and private credit funds assisting them with the establishment of their operations and any restructuring work undertaken. This included assisting them with disputes with the UK tax authorities.
