Mark Taylor

Mark Taylor is a Managing Director at Secretariat, based in London. Mr. Taylor is an experienced damages/quantum financial and accounting expert witness in international arbitration and litigation with significant investigations experience. He has testified on many occasions in litigation and international arbitration in diverse jurisdictions and has experience from over 28 years across numerous sectors, having specialized in this field in 1993.

Mr. Taylor has acted as an expert witness, expert advisor, and expert determiner on a broad range of disputes and has acted as an expert in international arbitration proceedings brought under ICC, LMAA, UNCITRAL, SIAC, and ad hoc rules as well as in various Courts in the UK and the rest of the world.

Mr. Taylor has global experience having testified and been cross examined in the UK, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Estonia, Egypt, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. He has worked in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North and South America, SE Asia, and Australasia.

His experience includes quantum of loss/lost profits assessment in both negligence and contractual disputes, misrepresentation investigations, transaction related disputes, breach of warranty claims, breach of contract disputes, fraud investigations, pricing and regulatory investigations, and accounts manipulation claims.

He has acted in a broad range of sectors with particular experience in energy and natural resources, oil and gas, construction, shipping and offshore, engineering, manufacturing, steel and chemicals.

Mr. Taylor is a member of the President’s Appointment Scheme of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has been appointed to give expert determinations.
