Tim Higgins Cpcu, Au, Ais

Tim Higgins has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Tim started their career at Sentry Insurance in 1985, where they worked as a Personal/Commercial Lines Underwriter before being promoted to Senior Underwriter. In this role, they monitored and applied underwriting programs to both personal and commercial lines risks, tracking and measuring their performance to achieve desired profitability and quality business profiles. Tim also designed and delivered underwriting training to new underwriters.

In 1993, Tim joined Church Mutual Insurance Company as a Commercial Lines Underwriter/Senior Underwriter. Tim applied underwriting programs to medium and large institutional risks, collaborating extensively with sales agents to properly price and manage each risk. Tim also revised and applied new underwriting standards, leading to improved underwriting results. After two years, they were promoted to Corporate Training Director, where they designed, developed, facilitated, and evaluated corporate training programs for various departments, including Sales and Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, Management, and IT system implementations. Tim reduced training and development classes for newly hired representatives and established an in-house learning center in the corporate campus.

In their most recent role at SECURA Insurance, starting in 2014, Tim worked as a Commercial Underwriter. Further details about their responsibilities and achievements in this role are not provided.

Tim Higgins, CPCU, AU, AIS, completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where they studied from 1980 to 1985.
