James FX Payne has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. James FX currently serves as the Vice President of Business Development at SecureG since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President of Special Projects at pExchange LLC from May 2020 to February 2022, where they focused on advancing the brand in the Federal, IC, and DOD intel space. James was an Alliance Partner at McCreightPartners from January 2020 to May 2020.
Before that, James held various positions at Dun & Bradstreet, including AVP IC/Law Enforcement D&B from January 2018 to December 2019, IC/Law Enforcement from April 2016 to December 2017, and Special Programs, Global Customer Solutions from December 2014 to March 2016. In these roles, they utilized their background in cyber and national security to demonstrate the value of D&B data in the IC process.
James also served as the President of the Public Sector at Z&A InfoTek Inc from July 2012 to November 2014, where they focused on creative Oracle, SAP, and other software solutions. Prior to that, they were the SVP/GM National Security and Cyber Infrastructure at Telcordia Technologies from August 2009 to July 2012 and the President of Federal Telecoms at Bechtel from October 2005 to June 2009.
James FX'scareer in the Federal marketplace began at Qwest Communications, where they served as the SVP and GM for the Govt Services Group from August 1999 to November 2005. At Qwest, they introduced the brand to the Federal marketplace and significantly grew the business. Additionally, they served as the IES industry lead for the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee.
Prior to Qwest, James worked at Sprint Government Services Division from January 1982 to August 1999, where they grew from a Management Trainee to the VP of Operations for the Federal Group. James FX played a crucial role in the expansion of revenue and was the executive capture lead for projects like FTS2000 and FTS2001.
Throughout their career, James has demonstrated their ability to drive innovation and growth, particularly in the Federal and intelligence sectors.
James FX Payne completed their education in a sequential manner. James FX first attended St Anthony's Grade School from 1957 to 1965, where they studied with the Benedictine nuns and completed 8th grade. After that, they went to Gonzaga College High School from 1965 to 1969. James FX then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business from 1969 to 1973. Finally, they obtained a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing from The George Washington University School of Business from 1978 to 1980.
