Carlos Retamero Díaz

Carlos Retamero Díaz has a diverse work experience in the field of network security and infrastructure support. Carlos worked as a Manager of Infrastructure Support at SecureOps starting from January 2021. Prior to that, they held the role of Network Security Team Leader at SecureOps from December 2018 to December 2020. Carlos also served as a Network Security Engineer at SecureOps in January 2018.

Before joining SecureOps, Carlos worked at Symantec as a Technical Support Engineer from September 2016 to December 2017. In this role, they handled customer interactions and fast problem resolution for Blue Coat Packet Shaper family products.

Carlos also gained valuable experience at AT&T, where they held multiple positions. Carlos worked as a Network Operations Team Leader from November 2013 to August 2016, leading a multilingual 2nd level support team and overseeing workload coordination. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Network Engineer from January 2012 to November 2013, supporting MPLS VPN infrastructure for clients in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

Carlos also gained experience as a Field Engineer at NOSTRACOM TELECOMUNICACIONES SOCIEDAD ANONIMA from January 2007 to September 2008, where they carried out network installations and maintenance of Motorola and Alvarion WLAN equipment.

From 2014 to 2019, Carlos attended the University of London's London School of Economics and Political Science, where they completed their BSc in Information Systems and Management.

Most recently, starting from 2019 and expected to complete in 2022, Carlos has been pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science with Cyber Security from the University of York.
