Joseph Scanlan, CFA has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Joseph started their career at Piper Jaffray as an Equity Research Assistant in the Health Care sector from October 1999 to October 2000. In 2000, they joined Securian Asset Management as a Fixed Income Research Associate, where they worked until January 2005. During this time, they gained experience as a Senior Fixed Income Research Analyst, focusing on industries such as energy, auto, basic industries, financials, industrials, pipelines, and transportation. In September 2014, Joseph was promoted to Vice President and Lead Analyst at Securian Asset Management, a role they held until August 2021.
