Renee Montz

Renee Montz is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Securian Financial Group. Renee has held this position since June 2021.

Previously, they served as the Legal Advisor at American Equity from June 2014 to June 2021.

Before that, they were the General Counsel at AEGON USA Investment Management, LLC from June 2004 to June 2014.

Renee began their career as an attorney at Mayer Brown in January 2000. Renee worked there until December 2004.

Renee Montz graduated from Iowa State University with a BA in Political Science and then went on to attend the University of Iowa College of Law, where they earned their JD.
