Alejandro Saavedra's work experience begins in 2011 when they worked as the Vice President of Community Based Programs at Seedco. After that, they took on various roles, including being self-employed in 2012 to care for a family member and manage residential rental houses. In 2013, they worked as a Customer Service/National Sales Force Support for Vitality Works, Inc on a contract basis. From 2014 to 2016, Alejandro worked as a Recruiter/Human Resources Specialist at Express Employment Professionals, where they developed strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent.
In 2016, Alejandro transitioned to become a Recruiter at Array Technologies, Inc, sourcing and recruiting professionals for the utility-scale solar tracking industry. Following that role, they became a Corporate Recruiter at Lavu Inc in 2018, responsible for recruiting professionals globally for the company's iPad point of sale system.
In 2019, Alejandro worked as a Contract Recruiter at Gap Inc, providing local recruitment for the planned separation of Old Navy from Gap Inc. Alejandro continued this role until 2020 when the separation was canceled. Following that, they served as an HR Generalist at ServiceMaster Clean, providing HR support to the company's residential and commercial cleaning service.
In 2021, Alejandro became a Human Resources Generalist at beWellnm, supporting the daily functions of the HR department for the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange. Currently, they work as an HR Manager at Securin Inc, a leader in the cybersecurity industry, where they improve the security posture of customers and validates new vulnerabilities through the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Numbering Authority program.
Alejandro Saavedra completed their education with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation. Alejandro attended the university from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Urban Studies at Stanford University from 1985 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in "Creating a Culture That Inspires Your Employees" and "Getting Started as a LinkedIn Learning Admin" from LinkedIn in October 2021.
