Samuel Kwan

Samuel Kwan is a seasoned professional in international affairs and sustainable finance, currently serving as the Manager at the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) since July 2018. In this role, Samuel focuses on promoting sustainable finance initiatives, including the adoption of IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards in Hong Kong and local policy coordination at the Green and Sustainable Finance Cross-Agency Steering Group. Previous positions at SFC include Assistant Manager in international affairs and enforcement, as well as an investigator in the Enforcement Division. Samuel's earlier experience includes internships at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and EY. Samuel holds a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from UCLA and is pursuing a Sustainable Investing Certificate from Harvard Business School Online, supplementing a series of educational experiences at prestigious institutions such as Stanford and Georgetown.
