Don Garton

Don Garton has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Don began their career in 1990 at American Express Financial Advisors, where they served as a Branch Office Manager and Advisor until 2004. Don then joined Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation (formerly Jefferson Pilot) as a Branch Office Manager and Registered Representative, a role they held until 2012. In the same year, they also started working at Securities Service Network as a Registered Principal and Registered Representative. Don Garton joined TD Ameritrade Institutional in 2012 as an Advisor. In 2005, they became a Managing Partner at Advantage Investment Management, where they are currently employed.

Don Garton graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Don then attended the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a Masters of Divinity degree in Theology. In addition to their formal education, Don Garton has earned several professional certifications, including Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist from the College for Financial Planning in 2014, Chartered Financial Consultant from The American College of Financial Services in 2012, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor from the College for Financial Planning in 2011, and Certified Financial Planner from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards in 1997.
