Nick Puetz

Nick Puetz is currently an advisor at Security Advisor Alliance. Prior to this, they were with Protiviti, SixThirty CYBER, and Netskope. Nick has also held the position of Vice President & General Manager - Office of the CISO at Optiv Inc.

Nick has over 20 years of experience in the information security industry. Nick began their career as a consultant with Ernst & Young and KPMG. Nick then moved into the role of Director of Professional Services for a regional managed security services provider before joining Optiv in 2014.

At Optiv, Nick led the Office of the CISO (OCISO) practice, a consulting service that helps organizations establish and mature their security programs. Nick also served as vice president of customer success and services at Netskope, where they oversaw all proactive customer engagement activities, including onboarding, professional services, customer outcomes, and training.

Nick is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Iowa State University.

Nick Puetz's educational career includes a Master of Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology-Old Westbury, a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Certification from the Cloud Security Alliance in Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge. Nick is also certified by the EC-Council as a Certified - Chief Information Security Officer (C-CISO), ISACA as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and ISC2 as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Nick is also qualified by the PCI SCC as a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) - Inactive.
