Chris Morgret

Chris Morgret has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Chris began their career in 1994 as a Police Officer for the Village of Wilmette, where they served in multiple positions, including Patrol Officer, Evidence Technician, Detective, and Traffic Accident Reconstructionist. After serving for over two decades, they left the police force in 2015.

In 2005, Morgret joined the United States Army Reserve, initially as a Convoy Support Team Officer in Charge in Iraq, where they managed logistics operations and implemented process improvements. Chris later became a Support Operations Officer - Transportation and was responsible for planning and coordinating transportation systems to support military and civilian personnel. In 2011, Morgret transitioned to leadership roles within the Army Reserve, serving as an Executive Officer and later as a Battalion Commander, overseeing a logistics transportation battalion and a regional support group, respectively. In these roles, they managed personnel, operations, training, logistics, and communications.

Following their military service, Morgret worked as a contractor for Packaging Corporation of America in 2019. Chris served as a Security Engineer on the Cybersecurity team, tasked with protecting the company's infrastructure and responding to threats. Chris also worked as a Corporate End User Systems Administrator, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

In 2020, Morgret joined Security Onion Solutions, LLC, initially as a Support Engineer, providing technical support for their platform and assisting customers with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Chris later became the Interim Manager and subsequently the Manager of Support and Professional Services, responsible for leading the team, training and developing members, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Outside of their professional career, Morgret has also worked as a self-employed Consultant since 2015, specializing in investigating and analyzing vehicle crashes and providing expert testimony in court.

Chris Morgret has a Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Chris also holds a Certificate in Traffic Accident Reconstruction from Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. Chris attended Warren Township High School but did not specify any degree or field of study. In 2017 to 2019, Chris obtained two Professional Certificates from the College of Lake County. The first certificate was in Network and System Administration/Administrator, and the second was in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Management. Chris has also completed courses in Network and System Administration/Administrator through the Cisco Networking Academy, specifically in CCNA Routing and Switching: Introduction to Networks and CCNA Routing and Switching: Routing and Switching Essentials.

In addition to their education, Chris Morgret has obtained various certifications. Chris completed the "LFS201: Essentials of Linux System Administration" certification from The Linux Foundation in April 2021. In June 2002, they were certified as an Illinois Certified Crash Reconstruction Specialist by the State of Illinois. Chris also holds the Accreditation Commission For Traffic Accident Reconstruction #1307 certification from the Accreditation Commission For Traffic Accident Reconstruction, obtained in June 2002.
