Derek Roberts

Derek Roberts is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in property and casualty insurance across Australia and Malaysia. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Sedgwick since September 2023, Derek previously held the position of CEO for UnityCorp Asia, where efforts focused on expanding a body and paint workshop network in South East Asia. As the former CEO of AmGeneral Insurance Berhad, Derek managed a significant operation with USD400m GWP and a staff of 1,500. Early career roles at IAG included responsibilities in direct insurance operations, strategic project management, and financial oversight. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Business Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town.
