Megan Spofford

Megan Spofford is an experienced animal care professional with a diverse background in zookeeping and animal behavior. Currently serving as a Zookeeper at Sedgwick County Zoo since October 2022, Megan previously held the position of Registered Behavior Technician at Centria Healthcare from September 2018 to August 2020. At Tanganyika Wildlife Park, Megan advanced to Supervisor of Primates, Penguins, and Animal Training, providing care and training to various species, managing a team, and leading new animal training initiatives. Additional experience includes roles at Duke University as a Comparative Medicine Specialist, an internship with sea lions at the Audubon Nature Institute, and responsibilities as a Veterinary Technician. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University and a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from North Carolina State University.
