Edward Yu is an aspiring aerospace engineer currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering at UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. Edward serves as an instructional assistant in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department and has held multiple roles in research and engineering, including as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Engineering Pedagogy and Design Lab and a researcher in the SHM Group, focusing on defect detection techniques. Through involvement with SEDS UCSD, Edward has led structural analysis for the Halya rocket and contributed to structural engineering efforts on other rocket projects. Edward has also gained industry experience as a Research and Development Intern at Collins Aerospace and has interned at SEFT Consulting Group LLC and NASA's L'SPACE Mission Concept Academy, enhancing skills in finite element analysis and project management.
