Joseph Cestone is a Structural Engineer currently contributing to the Halya Rocket project at SEDS UCSD, which aims to compete in the Friends of Amateur Rocketry MARS competition. In this role, Joseph is responsible for coordinating component integration and calculating rocket mass parameters for the 20-foot liquid bipropellant rocket designed to reach 45,000 ft. Prior experience includes an internship at Ruettgers & Schuler Civil Engineers, where Joseph designed road alignment concepts for a significant state route improvement program and automated the processing of traffic signal railroad crossing data. Joseph is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering at UC San Diego, with an expected graduation in June 2025.
