Emmalyn Shaw

Emmalyn Shaw is currently a Board Observer at SeedFi. Emmalyn has over twenty years of experience in the finance and technology industries.

Emmalyn started their career as a software project manager at MSCI Barra in 1995. Emmalyn then moved to Morgan Stanley where they worked in corporate finance from 1997 to 1999. In 2000, they joined The Barksdale Group as an associate.

In 2002, Emmalyn joined VantagePoint Venture Partners as Vice President. During their six years at the firm, they helped lead investments in early-stage technology companies. In 2008, they joined Oak Investment Partners as Director of Internet/New Media investments.

Emmalyn left Oak in 2016 to join Omidyar Network as a Partner. At Omidyar, Emmalyn co-managed the firm's Fintech initiative and led US venture investments in innovative technologies that promote financial health. Emmalyn left Omidyar in 2019 and is now a Board Observer at SeedFi.

Emmalyn Shaw received their BA in Economics from University of California, Berkeley, where they were a Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude graduate. Emmalyn then went on to earn their MBA from The Wharton School.
