Horatiu Ticau

Horatiu Ticau has a diverse range of work experience in various fields. Horatiu began their career in 2011 as a Project Organizer at Brilliant Business Lab (B3), a business incubator for young people. Horatiu then went on to work as a Project Manager at D'inno Lab, a social innovation lab, and as a Visiting Entrepreneur at Larta Institute, an innovation hub in the US.

In 2012, Horatiu became a Learning Designer at The Alternative University, where they helped build Romania's first alternative university based on self-directed learning and collaboration. Horatiu also developed learning programs and a business accelerator at the university.

In 2013, Horatiu worked as a Project Manager at Yincubate, a research project focused on supporting young entrepreneurs in Europe. Horatiu also became a Global Shaper at the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.

In 2014, Horatiu joined RICAP - Innovation from lab to market as a Business Specialist Adviser, helping innovators and entrepreneurs scale their technologies globally. In 2015, they became a Goodwill Ambassador at UNDP, promoting support for developing countries.

Horatiu joined Seedstars in 2016, first as the Managing Director of Seedstars Academy, a program empowering digital change makers in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Horatiu then became the Head of People Operations, where they focused on recruitment, people analytics, learning and development programs, career progression, and enhancing the company's culture.

Additionally, Horatiu served as a Board Member at The Entrepreneurship Academy, the first entrepreneurship university in Southern Eastern Europe.

Throughout their career, Horatiu has demonstrated a passion for entrepreneurship, social innovation, and making a positive impact in emerging markets through technology and entrepreneurship.

Horatiu Ticau completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at National College "Andrei Saguna", Brasov from 2001 to 2009. Horatiu went on to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Management at Academia de Studii Economice din București from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Horatiu Ticau obtained certifications in "Flipping the Classroom" and "Teaching Fundamentals: Project-Based Learning" from LinkedIn in November 2016.
