Mal Filipowska

Mal Filipowska has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mal (Malgorzata) currently works at Seedstars as a Portfolio & Platform Manager, starting in October 2022. Previously, they served as an Investment Associate at Flat6Labs from July 2021 to September 2022, where they managed the full investment cycle and provided support to founders. Mal also worked at Simpact VC as an Investment Associate from February 2021 to July 2021, where they sourced investment opportunities and managed a portfolio of seed-stage companies. In addition, they gained experience at Enterprise Ireland as a Market Advisor | FinTech from December 2020 to December 2021. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Alior Bank SA as a FinTech Associate and Specialist in Corporate Venture Capital from September 2018 to January 2021. Mal started their professional journey at Accenture as a Business Analyst from July 2016 to July 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Union Investment as a Marketing & Communication Specialist from October 2014 to July 2016, and also had a summer internship at mBank S.A. in 2014.

Malgorzata Filipowska, also known as Mal, has a diverse educational background. In 2017, they enrolled at Newcastle University and pursued a Master's degree in International Business Management, which they successfully completed in 2018. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2017, Malgorzata attended SGH Warsaw School of Economics, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems.

In addition to their formal education, Malgorzata has also obtained several certifications. In 2017, they obtained a sailing license from World Sailing, showcasing their skills and knowledge in sailing. Mal (Malgorzata) further expanded their skill set by obtaining VCleaders certification in 2019, enhancing their understanding of venture capital. In 2022, Malgorzata earned certifications in Venture Capital & Portfolio Management by Professor Florin Vasvari from the London Business School, granted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, they became a certified Open Water Diver through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) in January 2022.
