Dirk Braas has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and roles. Dirk started as a Work Student at Siemens Digital Industries Software in 2000, before moving on to Bosch as an Electrical Engineer from 2001 to 2004. At Bosch, they supported development steps, conducted test concepts, and planned and adjusted products. Following this, Dirk Braas joined Avaya in 2004 as a Technical Project Manager, where they oversaw product development and collaborated with international project teams. In 2011, they joined Continental as a Project Manager, and later took on roles as Head of R&D/Engineering Manager and Head of Business Unit CVAM Japan. During their time at Continental, Dirk Braas focused on business strategy, research and development, and project management. In 2019, they transitioned to Seeing Machines as a Manager of Automotive Projects & Functional Safety, before becoming the Director of Automotive Customer Solutions Europe and subsequently the Senior Director of OEM Products. In these roles, Dirk Braas was responsible for various aspects, including driving product strategies and innovation, engaging and maintaining customer relationships, and analyzing competitiveness.
Dirk Braas completed their education at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen from 2011 to 2015, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Marketing/Marketing Management. Prior to that, they attended the University of applied sciences Friedberg from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Diploma in Business Administration and Engineering. Their earliest education was at the University of applied sciences Giessen from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a major in IT & Telecommunication. Additionally, Dirk Braas holds a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institut (PMI).
