Marc Delport's work experience begins in 2002 when they worked as a Programmer and Technical Support role at Handmade Software while attending university. Marc then joined Bloy in 2003 and held various roles including Programmer (Part Time), Software Engineer, and Developments Manager. In 2013, they became a Partner at Bloy and continued to drive software, client, and company growth until the acquisition of Bloy by Seequent in 2016. Following the acquisition, Marc Delport became a Product Manager at Seequent until 2018. Marc then served as a Sales Executive - Central, responsible for aligning with product management and product marketing. Marc'smost recent role at Seequent was as the Head of Customer Solutions.
Marc Delport holds a Baccalaureus Technologiae degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Software Development and Information Systems from Nelson Mandela University, which they obtained in 2004. Prior to that, they earned a National Diploma in Information Technology with a focus on Software Development and Information Systems from Port Elizabeth Technikon, completing it in 2003. In addition to their formal education, Marc has obtained certifications including Certified Product Manager from AIPMM The Association of International Product Marketing and Management in 2017, Optimal Product Management and Product Marketing from 280 Group in 2017, and Membership in AusIMM - The Minerals Institute in 2013.
