Aaron Gajadhar, PhD

Aaron Gajadhar, PhD, has extensive experience in various roles and companies throughout their career. Aaron is currently working at Seer as an Associate Director, Strategic Applications, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they were a Senior Manager, Strategic Applications Marketing at Seer since January 2021.

Before joining Seer, Dr. Gajadhar worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Strategic Marketing Scientist, Proteomics from March 2017 to December 2020. In this role, they managed the SureQuant™ targeted proteomics program and coordinated the operationalization of the SureQuant™ strategy roadmap.

From September 2015 to December 2016, Dr. Gajadhar was a Senior Scientist, Discovery at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals. Aaron conducted team-based systems biology research and independently designed and executed pre-clinical experiments.

Dr. Gajadhar's work experience also includes a position as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2011 to August 2015, where they conducted systems-level discovery of activated signaling targets in human tumors.

During their time as a Graduate Student at The Hospital For Sick Children, Arthur and Sonia Labatt Brain Tumor Research Centre, Dr. Gajadhar designed, managed, and published multiple projects related to brain tumors. Aaron also collaborated with clinicians, scientists, and biopharma industry partners.

Dr. Gajadhar's earlier work experience includes roles as a Proteomics Research Assistant at the Banting & Best Department of Medical Research, University of Toronto, where they developed target ID/validation screens, and as a Transformation Research Assistant at Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc, where they worked on genetic engineering projects.

Additionally, Dr. Gajadhar has experience as a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician at Maple Leaf Foods.

Aaron Gajadhar, PhD, has a comprehensive education history in the field of biological engineering and medical biophysics. Aaron started their academic journey in 1999 at the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Biology, specializing in molecular biology and biotechnology. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2004, Aaron furthered their education at the University of Toronto, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Medical Biophysics in 2006.

Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Aaron enrolled in the doctoral program at the University of Toronto and successfully earned a PhD in Medical Biophysics in 2011. Aaron'sresearch during this period likely focused on the intersection of medical and biological sciences. Following the completion of their PhD, Aaron Gajadhar sought further expertise at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they served as a Postdoctoral Associate in the field of Biological Engineering from 2011 to 2015.
